From Walking Simulator to Reflective Simulator (2019)
The aim of this paper is to contribute both theoretically and methodologically to discussions on walking simulator video games. We base our reflection on results grounded in a video game design project conducted as part of our master's thesis.
The subject of this master's thesis is the design and prototyping of an aesthetic and reflective experience mediated by video games. The research problematic revolves around the need to go beyond traditional approaches to game design, still very much focused on the design of objectified experiences or strictly "fun", as well as the need to produce knowledge through the practice of design and the creation of video games.

Are You Languishing or Flowing ? (2021)
If the prolonged effects of confinement leave you in a state of endless languishing, you are not alone. With the recent New York Times article on the effects of languishing on our mental health, I wrote an article for KnowledgeOne on the benefits of Flow in the way we learn. A well known concept in the world of music, sports and video games, Flow could also be very useful in our schools and universities.

Rigged Games: Teaching Institutional Inequity Through Playing CardsRigged Games: Teaching Institutional Inequity Through Playing Cards (2023)
International Communication Association (ICA)
Our presentation offers, in a form of dialogue, the teacher and student perspectives of a pedagogical project developed in a master seminar on critical approaches in organizational communication. During this seminar students were invited to create a social project in order to reflect on the organizing processes and power dynamics related to such endeavors. Collectively they decided to design a game to bring awareness about inequalities in university: this resulted in a card game in which players are confronted with discrimination, family/work conciliation, financial burden, and so forth. We will share our experience in the classroom, the different roles we played and re-negotiated, as well as the pedagogical dilemmas and implications of this project.
